I have 4 kids 8,8,4 & 3. When we started homeschooling 2 years ago I was so overwhelmed, trying to figure out how to make sure they retained what we learned. I was so thrilled to find a way to make sure they were retaining information, practicing their writing skills, improving their handwriting, all while having a good time. This was the answer! As I started notebooking I learning that even beyond being great for my 8 year olds, the little ones (4 &3) enjoying coloring, drawing and beginning their writing skills on the notebook pages as well! Now it’s a full family activity, and I am able to give each child a page that is at their level in the same subject! A total homeschool homerun!

I purchased the complete set of notebooking pages last spring. It was my first purchase from your site and I never buy things on impulse like this. I knew as soon as I saw the samples that I wanted this.

We have used many of the Alphabet pages, and we also use the Nature Study pages. This month we are starting a study on ancient civilizations and I am just LOVING the notebooking pages. The pictures are great, very detailed and realistic and they are perfect for my little ones. I was worried that we would not be able to use a lot of these pages until they got older (they are in first grade and kindergarten) but we have already used a lot of them!

The Ancient Egypt pages we are using now are just beautiful, and my children actually enjoy writing when they use them. I even use the copywork pages for handwriting and spelling practice. It is much more fun to do their work on pretty pages!

It is even neater now that you have made this a membership, and I always look forward to the updates. I can't wait to use the A-Z Animals pages, I know my kiddos will go crazy for them!

I am a new homeschooling mom and I wanted to make our homeschool different than anything my kids had ever seen. In school they had busy work and nonsense questions that didn’t challenge them at all. Now, after a year of creating wonderful, engaging notebooks on many subjects, they now create their own pages and ask me to notebook everything from a recent family vacation (complete with pictures and drawings) to a great recipe we created (they are writing their own cookbook). The notebooking journey has awakened something fresh and exciting in our school time. I was struggling to 'organize' what the kids were learning in history and science and truthfully, just wanted to inject some FUN into those two subjects with minimal prep time.

It seemed like our homeschool was lacking something. The workbooks were dry & boring or repetitive. I discovered your site a year ago, purchased a year membership & we started our notebooking adventure! We have slowly integrated it into our homeschool day & now we are ready to start using it with all of our subjects. My children really enjoy being creative with their notebook pages. What an amazing resource notebooking pages has been to us! We began with the Bible pages to supplement our FIAR book studies. Now we use them along with Tapestry and our the timeline work.

The History packages exceeded all my expectations! The Explorers pages were such a fun addition to our World History study and now the American Presidents have really brought all our work together in an impressive and fun notebook that we can show to friends and family to highlight what our students are discovering on our learning journey.

After many times of wanting to take the plunge, today I did just that. I bought the lifetime membership, and I’m so glad I did. I’m truly blown away by the pages and topics offered. It has got me revved up again and ready to dig in with my kids. I’ve already printed off pages and the kids have ran, dug out books and began researching so they can do their fun pages. I have been using the “freebies” for some time. I have gotten a whole lot of mileage out of the lined papers and the science experiment papers. I have used several others as well. This is my 3rd year homeschooling, and although I use a curriculum, I use the pages to supplement what we are doing. In science, we use the experiment pages to take notes and create easy study pages. I use the history pages for the same purpose. However, I keep coming back to the site to find more pages as we advance in our studies. I am seeing so many exciting pages, for geography, anatomy, history that I kept longing for that weren’t freebies. I just jumped in today and purchased the lifetime membership, and my creative ideas are flowing. I can’t wait to use the pages in conjunction with our curriculum to enhance what we are learning, instead of just flying over the materials. My child gets excited about history, so now we can create a notebook of her favorite topics. The possibilities are endless! My only regret is waiting so long to become a lifetime member.

This is our go to site for all our notebooking needs. My daughter especially loves the Publisher. This site motivates her to want to create and learn. She is retaining more information than ever, and is even working above grade level. We discovered Notebooking within months of beginning our homeschool journey, I couldn’t imagine educating any other way. My daughter wouldn’t want to learn in any other way.

Though my daughter has always been a good student, she wasn’t an independent thinker when it came to learning, unlike her older siblings. She just read what she was told, answered questions at the end of a chapter, and took a test. Then we began homeschooling in 6th grade, now approaching the end of 7th grade, my daughter actually makes out her own schedule of what she wants to read and Notebook on, she has taken initiative in her own education. She now has an interest in History, Classical Music, Art, Literature, and chooses topics most kids wouldn’t.

Like you, I had preconceived notions of the “perfect” homeschool education. I spent a great deal of money our first year on material she never even used. Then when I discovered notebooking, we invested in paper, art supplies, a comb binder, laminator and a library card. She is a happier student, I am a happier mom.

I think Notebooking should be an educational law. I apologize for my lengthy reply, but I have become not only passionate about Notebooking, but a huge advocate. Your site is easy to navigate, and offers a wide variety of subjects and topics. Though we follow a Charlotte Mason style curriculum, Notebooking truly will work with any style or methods of teaching.

I had heard about notebooking for years, but I just KNEW my kids weren’t that into taking notes. As we read history, for instance, I would mention things they needed to write down, and the response was moaning, groaning, and slow motion, then messy, if any notes. Last week, for science, I needed a skeleton page to label, and we had been studying the Explorers. I prayed, talked to my husband, and took the plunge. We purchased the notebooking membership to save my time. I immediately printed off an Explorers page, a map, and 2 explorers pages each. The pages were met with colored pencils, immediate attention, and almost excitement. Even my 15 yo, who isn’t required with the younger few, sat down and did notes!! Lots of notes. I was thrilled to find your site. I had been searching for different ideas to use with my daughter that are more creative. This site has given me so many options. It has also enabled me to have more fun time with her and her brothers and not be so stressed over planning. I am getting ready to start the Colonial times with her and focus on the Revolutionary War so that she can understand why we have the freedoms we do today and why it is important to ensure that her children have them as well.

We are loving notebooking! Let me just say it has completely changed our school for the better. Now the girls are really excited to "do school". I was about to give up even though I knew it was what God wanted us to do. School was just drudgery. This has breathed new life into our home and days. I wish I could remember how I was initially introduced to notebooking. I believe I Providentially stumbled upon this website for it has been the springboard for major changes in our home.

After almost a decade of homeschooling, I knew what I wanted our schooling to look like, but at the same time I knew it was looking less and less like my vision. When I discovered these notebooking pages, I decided to use the freebies offered to try it out with my children. They didn't really notice a difference at first, so I began substituting some of our "independent" work with more notebooking pages. I was so pleased with the outcome. My children were becoming masters of the material we studied!

I recently bought a membership and the way I homeschool has changed for the BEST! I am a four year homeschool mom who struggled trying to find a way to make learning come alive for my children (ages 4, 14, 17, 18). They are enjoying putting together notebooks. It allows for their creativity to flow and they can write down what they find interesting about a subject instead of someone forcing an interest on them. They also get to draw if they want or find pictures to place in the notebook. A lot of kids love to doodle! The membership saves me time by providing such nice pages. I cannot even begin to say how much your site has changed my life! Sound melodramatic? Perhaps, if anything, it is an understatement! After homeschooling our 2 older children through middle and high school and then starting from the beginning with the three younger ones (9, 6, 3) I was feeling overwhelmed and stagnant. I saw my children getting bored and frankly, so was I. How was I going to keep this up? I began praying for God to inspire me with a way to teach my children that would bring fun back into learning and would, at the same time, give me confidence that they were learning what they needed to. It was within a week that I stumbled upon (through God’s grace and love for his struggling children like me) Debra’s website. Of course, I did my own homework and looked into several other sites offering similar services, but NONE of them offered what Debra does; and to be honest, I don’t know HOW she manages to do it! If I tried to make my own templates I’d be so frustrated! (and I have tried in the past) This site allows me to have access to everything I need for school and print it off quickly without feeling like I wasted my time at my computer…time that could be spent delving into books with my children and having fun. I LOVE the new publisher feature that will allow my children freedom to create their own unique pages as they get older. After looking at the idea of notebooking for the last two years...we are DOING IT this year! I have looked at your site off and on as well as many others and even contemplated making my own pages for a million different topics but the realization that I came to every time was that the page I would create would be JUST LIKE what I see on your site! The details, the space to write, the different formats for different ages, the massive number of subject areas...the reasons are absolutely endless that I finally committed and bought my Lifetime membership to start using! We are so tired of book work alone and this has led all of to just dread school time and the threats of them having to get on that big yellow bus at the crack of dawn have been flowing more and more freely in our home! I just started homeschooling my 5-year old son for kindergarten this year. I'm new to homeschooling, and we are going through a charter school - so we are given a curriculum and assignments. But I have been frustrated with the curriculum and textbooks, and my son has been less than enthusiastic with the number of worksheets and "busy-work" and I was beginning to feel like I was killing his natural love for learning. Here I had this incredible child who is already reading on a 5th grade level, doing end-of-1st grade math, and yet he was starting to hate "school." I felt like I was failing. I started researching online for other homeschooling ideas, and came across the whole notion of notebooking, and it immediately appealed to me. It seemed so much more flexible than the curriculum we were assigned now, and it seemed like my son would be actually learning more than when he's just filling in blanks or drawing lines from pictures to words on worksheets.

My first trial was with one of the science notebooking pages. I printed the one with space for 3 pictures and then primary-lined writing area. We did a science experiment, and rather than just DO it, like we normally would have, after the experiment, I had my son draw pictures of the stages of the experiment and asked him to write a sentence about what he learned - and he LOVED doing it!!! It made the whole experience SO MUCH more of a learning experience, and even though it's been a couple weeks, he's STILL talking about it! Even though he generally dislikes writing, he truly enjoyed that experience, and I hope to have many more like it!! Thank you for opening a whole new world to us!!

Last year I hit the wall in my homeschool journey. My children were frustrated and so was I. We were not having the educational experience any of us wanted. I shelved everything for a month and went back to the drawing board. I am incredibly grateful to have found your site while slogging through the difficult ordeal of revamping our homeschool. I looked through the entire site. I watched the intro video. (I suggest everyone else do the same!) I signed up for the Freebies account, because while it all looked very promising, I didn’t want to spend the money until I’d tried this “notebooking thing.” Boy was I glad I did! I started a study of Chopin and Elephants with my children. They loved it! They loved the “neat pages” to write and draw on. My son who I couldn’t get to write three consecutive sentences, suddenly wanted to write everything he’d learned about elephants. They love using the notebooks I learned to make from the terrific “how to” articles that Debra has written. Suddenly, learning was enjoyable again. I have only one regret when it comes to notebooking, I wish I had known about your site sooner. I didn’t try notebooking earlier because it always sounded confusing and difficult. We first began using these materials last year, as we notebooked our way through the Old Testament. My children absolutely LOVE their notebooks. They are so proud of what they’ve produced and take pride in their work. I have 6 kids and we are homeschooling all of them. Many curriculum’s have add-on worksheet sets to purchase – but none are as high quality as those on your site.
